FALL CLASSES - 2017

for ages 5 through 18

Camps are held in the Generic Theater in the Scope/Chrysler Hall complex in Norfolk

MUSICAL THEATER CLASSES - Saturdays beginning Sept 9

Musical Theater Classes includes acting skills, singing and basic dance movement.  Students will
learn stage directions and blocking, do improvisations and pantomime, learn staging, working
with scripts,  and how to audition.  A musical will performed by the students at the conclusion of
the session and all students will be in the show with speaking parts and singing solos or as a group.

9:00 to 10:00 AM --Tiny Tots for ages 5 to 7

10:00 to 11:30 -- Ages 8 to 12

11:30 to 1:00 -- Teens


ACTING FOR TV/MOVIES - Saturdays beginning Sept 9

    Students will learn how acting for the camera differs from performing on stage.  They will
be videotaped  during class and learn about types of shots, directing terminology and acting
for TV commercials.  They will be cast in a short movie.  Each student will receive a DVD of
movie and of the TV commercials and other activities taped during classes.   On performance
days, their movie will be shown to a live audience as well.

1:00 to 2:30 -- For ages 8 to 18


ACTING FOR STAGE - Wednesdays beginning Sept 6

Students learn stage directions and blocking, do improvisations and pantomime, play
theater games, learn to interpret scripts, do cold readings and monologues.
  A play
will performed by the students at the conclusion of the session and all
students will be in the show with speaking parts

5:30 to 7:00 -- For ages 8 to 12

7:00 to 8:30 -- for teens

     
  Tuition for each Class is $250 for the session.  Fee includes all materials, costumes and
performance fees.  There is a $50 discount for a second sibling attending the same class
 or for one child attending the second class the fall session.
